1948 – Drummer Ian Paice of Deep Purple is born in Nottingham
1953 – Don Dokken is born this day
1956 – In a step back for rock, Elvis Presley appears on Steve Allen’s TV show to sing “Hound Dog” to an actual basset hound.
1957 – Buddy Holly records “Peggy Sue.”
1964 – Touring Australia The Beatles played two shows at the Festival Hall, Brisbane. Over 8,000 fans had waited until after midnight to greet the group as they landed at Brisbane Airport.
1966 – Some 500 police are needed to contain the crowd when the Beatles play Tokyo.
1967 – Two days after Mick Jagger is found guilty of drug possession and jailed, Keith Richards goes on trial for similar charges stemming from a February raid on his home. Judge Leslie Block finds him guilty of allowing his house to be used for smoking cannabis and sentences him to a year in jail. Jagger is sentenced to three months in jail. Their sentences are later suspended following a public outcry.
1968 – Pink Floyd release A Saucerful of Secrets. The Floyd celebrate by performing a free show in London’s Hyde Park with Jethro Tull, Roy Harper, and T. Rex.
1968 – A free concert was held in London’s Hyde Park with Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Tyrannosaurus Rex and Roy Harper.
1969 – The Jimi Hendrix Experience play their last concert together at the Denver Pop Festival in Mile High Stadium.
1973 – Ian Gillan leaves Deep Purple after a show in Japan.
1974 – There’s a change in the lineup of future Canadian prog superstars Rush as Neil Peart replaces John Rustey on the drum stool today. Neil is considered by some to be one of the best drummers of the Rock era.
1975 – In Oakland, Calif., Elton John joins the Doobie Brothers on stage to duet on “Listen to the Music.”
1975 – Tim Buckley dies of a heart attack at the age of 28.
1978 – Peter Frampton suffers a broken arm and cracked ribs in an auto wreck in the Bahamas.
1985 – John Lennon’s 1965 Rolls-Royce Phantom V limousine, with psychedelic paintwork, sold for a record sum of $3,006,385, (£1,768,462) at a Sotheby’s auction in New York.
1988 – Nirvana, Mudhoney and Tad all appeared at the Moore Theatre, Seattle.
1993 – Aerosmith release their much-loved single “Cryin’.”
1996 – At Buckingham Palace,Record producer George Martin received a Knighthood, also music promoter Harvey Goldsmith became an MBE and Van Morrison an OBE.
2000 – Vandals pull Ronnie Van Zant’s casket out of the Lynyrd Skynyrd mausoleum, but are unable to open it. Steve Gaines’ ashes are also spilled during the rampage.
2000 – Rolling Stone Ron Wood checks into a rehab center to treat alcohol addiction. It’s believed Wood is hoping to dry out in time for a Rolling Stones world tour.
2004 – Courtney Love was reprimanded by Los Angeles Judge Melissa Jackson for turning up five hours late to a hearing. Love pleaded guilty to a single charge of disorderly conduct and was given a discharge, on condition she paid the victim’s medical bills, joins a drug programme and stayed out of trouble.
2010 -  Rush kicked off their Time Machine Tour at the Journal Pavilion in Albuquerque, NM. During this tour they performed Moving Pictures in its entirety for the first time.

1943 – Procul Harum drummer Bobby Harrison is born today
1969 - Creedence Clearwater Revival peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart with “Bad Moon Rising” which was their second top ten single in the U.S.
1977 – Elton John achieved a lifelong ambition when he became the Chairman of Watford Football Club.
1978 – The Clash supported by The Specials appeared at Friars, Aylesbury
1979 – Born on this day, Tim McCord, bass, Evanescence
1980 – Roxy Music scored their second UK No.1 album with ‘Flesh And Blood’.
1983 – David Bowie appeared at The Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh, on his Serious Moonlight tour.
1990 – Over 200 women filed court actions against Chuck Berry after it was alleged that he had been secretly filming them in the rest rooms of the restaurant he owned.
1991 – “Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Oratorio” debuts at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral. McCartney co-writes the 90-minute work with American-born composer Carl Davis to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Liverpool’s Royal Philharmonic.
1993 – The Manic Street Preachers played a sold out gig at the Marquee Club, London.
1996 – Def Leppard kicked off the North American leg of their 133-date Slang world tour at The Blossom Music Centre, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
1997 – Radiohead went to No.1 on the UK album chart with their third album ‘OK Computer’.
1997 – The classic Pink Floyd album ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ spent its 1056th week on the US album chart.
1997 -  Bob Seger drove his BMW off of the Trans-Canada Highway in Nipigon, Ontario & was charged with drunk driving after crashing his car.
2000 – Chris Cornell, former lead singer of Seattle’s Soundgarden, and his wife, artist manager Susan Silver, become parents of a baby daughter when Lillian Jean is born.
2001 – Phish and the Grateful Dead are the big winners at the second annual Jammy Awards, held at New York’s Roseland Ballroom.
2002 -  Rush kicked off their tour in support of Vapor Trails which was their first tour in five years at the Meadows Music Theater in Hartford, CT.
2010 - Bill Aucoin, who, as KISS's manager, turned four young New York City kids into a Rock group that would sell more than 100 million albums, died from complications of prostate cancer at the age of 66.
2015 - Chris Squire, bassist and co-founder of Yes, lost his battle with leukemia at the age of 67.

1970 – The English band Smile decide to change their name to Queen.
1970 – Pink Floyd perform “Atom Heart Mother” live for the first time at the Bath Festival
1970 – Led Zeppelin, The Byrds and Jefferson Airplane all appeared at The Bath Festival of Blues and Progressive Music in Bath, England, tickets £1.10s.
1976 – After much legal wrangling, John Lennon finally receives his green card.
1978 – Kansas becomes the first group chosen as UNICEF’s deputy ambassadors of goodwill.
1980 – John Bonham, drummer with Led Zeppelin collapsed on stage during a gig in Nuremberg, West Germany.
1989 – The Who perform their rock opera Tommy at Radio City Music Hall in New York to benefit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and a children’s charity.
1991 – Carlos Santana is arrested in Houston on charges of marijuana possession.
1993 – In concert, Don Henley dedicates his cover of “It’s Not Easy Being Green” to President Clinton.
1994 – Aerosmith became the first major band to let fans download a full new track free from the internet.
1995 – Godfather of grunge Neil Young and godchildren of grunge Pearl Jam release their collaborative album Mirror Ball.
2000 –Sum 41 release their debut album Half Hour of Power
2002 – One day before the scheduled first show of The Who’s 2002 US tour, bass player John Entwistle, died aged 57 in his hotel room at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
2006 – Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose is arrested in after allegedly biting a security guard in the leg outside his hotel.
2008 – Kings of Leon, The Fratellis, Editors, The Gossip, The Feeling, KT Tunstall, Kate Nash, Jay Z, Amy Winehouse, The Raconteurs, James Blunt, Crowded House, Seasick Steve, Martha Wainwright, The Verve, Leonard Cohen, The Ting Tings, Goldfrapp, Neil Diamond, Pete Doherty, Scouting for Girls, Mark Ronson, Duffy, The Zutons, Groove Armada and John Mayer all appeared at this year’s 3 day UK Glastonbury Festival.
2011 - Despite protests from local residents, a larger-than-life statue of Chuck Berry was approved by University City Council of St Louis. The initial objections stemmed from the singer's time behind bars for his 1962 conviction for illegally transporting a teenager across state lines.

1942 – Larry Taylor, bassist with Canned Heat, is born in Brooklyn, N.Y.
1955 - Mick Jones-guitarist for The Clash born in Wandsworth, London.
1955 – “Rock Around the Clock” hit-makers Bill Haley & the Comets have sold 3 million records in the last 13 months, according to the Decca label.
1963 – Lennon and McCartney write “She Loves You” in a hotel room in Newcastle
1964 – Moody Blues are formed by Mike Pinder
1966 – The Rolling Stones play San Francisco’s Cow Palace, with Jefferson Airplane and Sopwith Camel opening.
1967 – At the height of the “Summer of Love,” the Mothers of Invention release ‘Absolutely Free,’ a dark-themed album from the anti-establishment mind of bandleader Frank Zappa.
1968 – Beatles open their Apple Corporation office at 95 Wigmore Street, London.
1970 – Guess Who: American Woman US 45 is no. 1 chart topper.
1973 – Police raid Keith Richards’ home in Cheyne Walk, London. They discover guns, ammunition, Mandrax, and Chinese heroin. The Rolling Stones guitarist is arrested with his girlfriend Anita Pallenberg.
1973 – Singer Marsha Hunt files a paternity suit against Mick Jagger, claiming he is the father of her 2-year-old daughter. She later loses the case.
1974 - Bad Company released their self-titled debut album on Swan Song Records, which was launched by Led Zeppelin. The album went on to reach number one on the Billboard 200 Album Chart & sold five million copies in the U.S.
1975 – Bob Dylan officially releases the long-bootlegged Basement Tapes.
1977 – Eagles: Hotel California US LP is no. 1 chart topper
1980 – The Rolling Stones release Emotional Rescue and hold a party at New York’s Danceteria.
1982 -  Asia peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart with “Heat of the Moment” where it would remain for three weeks.
1996 -  Van Halen announced that Sammy Hagar has left the band & that David Lee Roth had re-joined them to record two songs for their first greatest hits album.
2003 – Rock behemoths Deep Purple are deluged with emails after announcing their new album will be called Bananas. Fans are irate over the ridiculous name.
2004 – UK prog rockers Muse play the biggest show of their careers when they headline the Sunday night at Glastonbury Festival.
2005 – Nine Inch Nails close the Coachella Festival in California.
2008 – Total Guitar magazine voted Celine Dion’s rendition of the AC/DC track ‘You Shook Me All Night Long’ as the world’s worst cover version ever, the magazines editor Stephen Lawson said Dion’s cover was “sacrilege”.
2015 - Billboard's gate revenue branch, Boxscore announced that The Rolling Stones had grossed over $360 million on tour since 2012.

1966 – The Beach Boys, The Byrds, Love, Captain Beefheart, The Lovin Spoonful and Percy Sledge all appeared at The Hollywood Bowl,
1967 – During a north American tour The Jimi Hendrix Experience gave a free afternoon concert in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. They then played another two shows that evening at the Fillmore West.
1967 – The Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love” is recorded live during a British TV broadcast.
1969 – Guitarist Mick Taylor makes his performance debut with the Rolling Stones in Rome.
1983 – The Police scored their fourth UK No.1 album with ‘Synchronicity’,
1983 - Kiss performed the last concert in makeup until 1996 at Morumbi Stadium in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
1988 – Hillel Slovak original guitarist and founding member of The Red Hot Chili Peppers died from a heroin overdose shortly after the band returned from a European tour.
1988 – Van Halen started a four-week run at No.1 on the US album chart with ‘OU812′.
1994 – Stone Temple Pilots started a three-week run at No.1 on the US album chart with ‘Purple’.
1995 – Pink Floyd were at No.1 on the US album chart with ‘Pulse’ the bands fifth US No.1.
1995 – Pearl Jam cancels their current tour, citing their ongoing war with Ticketmaster as the reason.
2005 – Tickets for a forthcoming Rolling Stones gig at the Hollywood Bowl were set to become the most expensive in rock ‘n’ roll history. Fans would have to pay up to £249 for a seat – £2 per minute to watch the Stones.
2010 -  Rush received their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Their star is located at 6752 Hollywood Blvd.
2015 - B.B. King's longtime business manager, LaVerne Toney, was named sole executor of his estimated five to ten million dollar estate, despite objections from a lawyer representing four of the late Blues icon's daughters.
2016 - A shirt spattered with the blood of John Lennon was sold by Heritage Auctions for $40,819. The white button down shirt was worn by concierge Jay Hastings when he came to Lennon's aid after the former Beatle was shot in front of The Dakota apartment building in New York on December 8th, 1980.

1978 – Genesis, Jefferson Starship, Jeff Beck, Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers, Devo, Brand X and The Atlanta Rhythm Section all appeared at Knebworth Park, tickets cost £6 ($10).
1984 – In Dortmund, Germany, Yes are joined onstage by Jimmy Page, who joins in on a rendition of the Beatles’ “I’m Down.”
1989 – Paul McCartney scored his seventh UK No.1 solo album with ‘Flowers In The Dirt’,
1989 – Richard Marx scored his second US No.1 single with ‘Satisfied’,
1992 – Billy Joel receives his high school diploma from Hicksville High School on Long Island, N.Y.
1995 - During a Pearl Jam concert at The Polo Field in San Francisco, Eddie Vedder called the concert short complaining of stomach flu. Neil Young would come out to finish the show, but many Pearl Jam fans weren’t happy.
1999 – Eric Clapton parts with 100 of his guitars and generates over $5 million for his Crossroads Centre at Antigua, and alcohol and drug-dependency treatment center in the West Indies.
2000 -  Kiss began a two day auction of various stage props, instruments & costumes worn & used throughout their career, bringing in over $875,000.
2003 -  Boston guitarist Tom Scholz filed a lawsuit against Artemis Records for $4 million alleging that the label failed to properly promote their fifth album Corporate America which was released the previous November.
2004 – A Fender Stratocaster that Eric Clapton nicknamed “Blackie” sold at a Christie’s auction for $959,500 (£564,412) in New York, making it the most expensive guitar in the world.
2007 – The White Stripes went to No.1 on the UK album chart with ‘Icky Thump’ the duo’s sixth studio album.
2016 - Billy Joel gave a Billy Joel tribute band called Big Shot the thrill of a lifetime when he joined them on stage for three songs at Huntington, New York's intimate Paramount Theatre.

1940 – Stuart Sutcliffe, the fifth Beatle and one of the world’s worst bass players, is born in Edinburgh, Scotland.
1941 - Robert Hunter-lyricist for the Grateful Dead is born
1965 – The Yardbirds appeared at The City Hall, Salisbury, England, admission 10 shillings, ($1.40).
1966 – The Beatles fly to Germany, where they will begin their last world tour. The Rolling Stones depart London the same day to begin a tour of America.
1967 – John Entwistle bass player from The Who married Alison Wise.
1973 – George Harrison started a five-week run at No.1 on the US album chart with ‘Living In The Material World’, his second US No.1.
1975 – Jefferson Starship release Red Octopus. Rolling Stone celebrates Marty Balin’s return to the fold by saying, “If it weren’t for Balin, Red Octopus would be completely unlistenable.”
1975 – Alice Cooper falls from stage at a Vancouver, British Columbia concert, breaking six ribs.
1977 – A very inebriated Keith Moon joins Led Zeppelin onstage in Los Angeles.
1979 – The No. 1 album in the U.S. is Supertramp’s Breakfast in America.
1979 – The Knack release “My Sharona.”
1981 – Guitarist Robert Fripp re-forms King Crimson with Bill Bruford, Adrian Belew, and Tony Levin.
1984 – Van Halen release the all-time driving classic “Panama.”
1994 – A daughter, Francesca is born in Tarzana, California to Gilby and Daniella Clarke. Gilby Clarke is the guitarist for Guns ‘N Roses.
2000 – Neil Young is honored in Toronto with a star on the Canada Walk Of Fame.
2004 – A statement appears on Dave Navarro’s Web site claiming Jane’s Addiction have split for good.
2004 – Bob Dylan was awarded an honorary degree by the University of St. Andrews, Scotland’s oldest University and made a “Doctor of Music.”
2006 – Robert Plant leads the bill for a June 23 benefit concert for Love principal Arthur Lee, who is battling lukemia.
2016 - Jimmy Page and Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin won a copyright lawsuit that claimed they had plagarized the music to their most celebrated song, "Stairway to Heaven". A Los Angeles jury determined that the lawyer representing the estate of late guitarist Randy Wolfe, who played with the group Spirit, did not prove that the band lifted the song's intro from Spirit's 1968 instrumental "Taurus".

1936 – Singer-songwriter Kris Kristofferson is born in Brownsville, Texas, the son of a minister
1947 – Howard Kaylan (Howard Kaplan) of the Turtles is born in New York City. After the Turtles disband in 1970, he and bandmate Mark Volman join Frank Zappa’s Mothers of Invention
1948 – Todd Rundgren is born in Upper Darby, Pa.
1959 – Chuck Berry enters the US chart with Back in the USA.
1961 – At a recording session in Hamburg, the Beatles lay down “Ain’t She Sweet,” “Cry for a Shadow,” “When the Saints Go Marching In,” “Why,” “Nobody’s Child,” and “My Bonnie.”
1968 -  The Jeff Beck Group, featuring Rod Stewart as lead singer made their first U.S. appearance at New York’s Fillmore East. Stewart had such bad stage fright that he spent the entirety of the first song behind a large speaker cabinet.
1975 – At New York’s Madison Square Garden, Eric Clapton joins the Rolling Stones onstage to jam on “Sympathy for the Devil.”
1979 – Mick Taylor (who once referred to himself as ‘The only person to quit the Rolling Stones and live’!) releases his first solo LP.
1981 – Mark Chapman pleads guilty to the murder of John Lennon and is sentenced to 20 years in jail.
1984 - Aerosmith kicked off their reunion tour with Joe Perry and Brad Whitford back as their guitarists at the Capitol Theatre in Concord, NH. The 58 date tour was called the Back in the Saddle Tour.
1991 – Jimi Hendrix’s lyrics to “Room Full of Mirrors” sell for $35,200 at a New York auction.
1992 – Tom Jones is joined during his performance at London’s Town & Country Club by Pink Floyd guitarist Dave Gilmour.
1993 – Ozzy Osbourne changes his mind yet again about retirement and says he will reunite with Black Sabbath for a tour.
1995 – R.E.M. perform “What’s the Frequency, Kenneth?” with Dan Rather at a sound check in New York.
2005 – Coldplay’s X&Y stays atop the American album chart for a second week. Foo Fighters debut at No. 2 with their double album In Your Honor.
2005 -  Ted Nugent reached an agreement with Karen Gutowski of Dover, NH to pay $3,500 a month in child support. Nugent fathered a son with her in 1994 while married to his second wife Shemane, with whom he remains married to this day.
2012 - The crypt in which Elvis Presley was first buried was withdrawn from a Los Angeles auction after more than 10,000 fans protested it should be kept as a shrine.

1950 - Joey Kramer-drummer for Aerosmith born in the Bronx, New York
1951 – Nils Lofgren is born in Chicago. He is the leader of the group Grin from 1969-74 and releases six solo albums from 1975-81. In 1985 he joins Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band.
1955 – Johnny Cash’s first single, “Cry Cry Cry,” is released.
1988 – Pink Floyd perform at Versailles, France, a concert that is later released as the “Delicate Sound of Thunder” video.
1990 – It’s Little Richard Day in Los Angeles as the rock ‘n’ roll pianist is awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
1993 – The U.S. Supreme Court agrees to hear an appeal from John Fogerty. He’s hoping to recoup legal fees from a copyright battle with the other members of Creedence Clearwater Revival.
1998 – Charlie Daniels wins the Harry Hap Peebles Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by the International Entertainment Buyers Association at the organization’s annual conference in Nashville.
2000 – 39 year-old Karen McNeil who claimed she was the wife of Axl Rose and that she communicated with him telepathically was jailed for one year for stalking the singer.
2001 – Bluesman John Lee Hooker, believed to be 83, dies of natural causes at his home in Los Altos, Calif
2002 – New York radio station WPLJ-FM debuts the title track from Bruce Springsteen’s forthcoming album “The Rising” only to be immediately served with a cease and desist order from the Boss’ label, Columbia.
2003 – Kicking off their first world tour in four years in Holland, R.E.M. debut new songs “Bad Day” and “In Time.”
2003 – U2 and The Corrs perform at the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics, held in Croke Park, Dublin, Ireland.
2005 – Billy Corgan takes out full-page advertisements in two newspapers announcing that he wants to reform the Smashing Pumpkins. “I want my band back, and my songs, and my dreams,” he says.
2016 - Roger Friedman, owner of the entertainment industry news and film review website Showbiz 411, announced that Led Zeppelin refused a $14 million offer to perform at the 2016 Desert Trip Festival in Indio, California.

1964 – John Lennon is described as “in a pathetic state of near illiteracy” by one book critic after the publication of In His Own Write.
1964 – Touring Australia The Beatles played a third night at Sydney Stadium in Sydney.
1965 – No. 1 Chart Toppers Pop Hit: “Mr. Tambourine Man,” The Byrds.
1967 – Jimi Hendrix and the Jefferson Airplane perform at San Francisco’s Fillmore.
1969 – Young David Bowie signs with Mercury Records.
1969 – Jimi Hendrix plays the Newport Jazz Festival for a whopping $125,000. At the time it’s the largest fee ever for a concert appearance.
1974 – Van Morrison, The Allman Brothers, The Mahavishnu Orchestra, Tim Buckley, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band and The Doobie Brothers all appeared at Knebworth Park, Stevenage, England. A special PA system was used for the event, claiming to be the best ever for an outside show, weighing 12 tons and needing five technicians.
1980 – During a UK tour Fleetwood Mac played the first of six sold-out nights at Wembley Arena, London,
1986 – Phil Collins, Dire Straits, Tina Turner and Elton John all appeared at the fourth annual ‘Prince’s Trust Rock Gala’ held in London.
1987 – Boston appear at the 10th annual Texas Jam for their first live performance in eight years.
1987 – Aerosmith appeared at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas, the first night on their Permanent Vacation 147 date world tour.
1994 – It’s reported that Paul, George, and Ringo are working on a new song for inclusion in the Anthology boxed set.
1994 – The Rolling Stones begin rehearsing in Toronto for their Voodoo Lounge live extravaganza.
1998 – Black Sabbath, Foo Fighters, Korn, Pantera, Soulfly, Slayer, Fear Factory, Coal Chamber, Life of Agony, Limp Bizkit, Entombed, Human Waste Project, Neurosis, and Pitchshifter all appeared at Ozzfest, Milton Keynes Bowl,
2004 – In St. Petersburg’s Palace Square, Paul Mccartney plays his 3000 gig since first performing with the Quarrymen. 50,000 Russians turn out to see the ex-Beatle, who predictably plays “Back in the USSR.”
2008 -  Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page was honored with an honorary doctorate in music at the University of Surrey in the U.K.
2013 - Deep Purple's first studio album in eight years, "Now What", enters the Billboard 200 album chart where it would peak at #110. The LP fared better in Europe, reaching the Top Ten in 19 countries.

1963 – Drummer Simon Wright (AC/DC, Dio) is born.
1965 – The Kinks and the Moody Blues both play their first American date at New York’s Academy of Music.
1965 – The Rolling Stones score their first #1 on the American charts with “Satisfaction”.
1967 – Paul McCartney tells a British television audience that he has taken LSD.
1971 – Almost exactly a year to the day after the appearance of ‘Gasoline Alley’, Rod Stewart releases his self-produced masterpiece, ‘Every Picture Tells a Story".
1977 – Led Zeppelin play a one-off show in San Diego between six gigs in New York and six gigs in Los Angeles. Jimmy Page is apparently so out of it from his heroin habit that he has to be physically carried onto the plane to California.
1982 – Asia live up to their “supergroup” tag when their self-titled debut tops the albums chart.
1982 – Rainbow hits #40 with “Stone Cold
1984 – Tickets for Bruce Springsteen’s 10-night stand at New Jersey’s Meadowlands go on sale. Twenty-four hours later, 202,000 tickets have been snatched up.
1987 - Guns N’ Roses performed their first concert outside of the U.S. at London’s legendary Marquee Club.
1988 – Anthrax’s Danny Spitz marries fiancee Valerie.
2000 – There’s a new addition to Bob Dylan’s group today in Portland, Ore. It’s Professor Patrick Ladd, who signs Dylan’s lyrics for the benefit of the hard of hearing.
2003 – The opening date of the Lollapalooza tour – featuring Audioslave and Queens of the Stone Age – is cancelled because organizers say Jane’s Addiction’s stage won’t fit the Ionia County Fairgrounds venue in Michigan.
2005 – Richard Ashcroft, formerly a singer with “Bittersweet Symphony” hit-makers The Verve, is arrested in Chippenham, England after barging into a youth club and demanding to work with the children. Alcohol may have been involved.
2006 - Duane Roland, a founding member of the Southern Rock band Molly Hatchet died of natural causes at the age of 53.
2007 - The Illinois Senate passed Senate Resolution 255 which designated that April 1st of every year as Cheap Trick Day in the State of Illinois.
