The organization is working toward changes in the California Labor Code that affect recording artists. 2002 – Alanis Morissette releases her third chart-topping album Under Rug Swept, featuring the single “Hands Clean.” 2005 – The wife of Status Quo guitarist Rick Parfitt was rushed to hospital after slashing her wrists in a suicide attempt after a Sunday newspaper ran a story claiming that Rick had been cheating on his wife.
